Canadian flower and gift business looks abroad to help its business
bloom
When flower and gift company Lilies White of Mannheim, Ontario
needed to reach a wide audience to promote its new retail store,
they looked to the World Wide Web for help.
Lilies White co-owner Dawn Tomlinson contacted Web designer Nigel
Gordijk in Brighton, England because of his proven ability to design
easy-to-use sites.
"I was absolutely thrilled to help", says Gordijk. "Not
only did I have the usual challenge of creating a site that would
engage users and get the client's message across, but also the additional
challenge of working with someone who is 3,500 miles away! In the
end, this didn't prove to be a barrier. We managed just fine using
mail, telephone - and of course email. The great thing about the
Internet is that if it's used well, it has a tremendous reach."
The site has proven to be a great success with Lilies White receiving
enquiries and orders from all over Ontario. It can be found at www.lilieswhite.com.
