Common Sense Design's Nigel Gordijk contributes to US book about
successful design businesses
Web
designer Nigel Gordijk, of Common Sense Design, has contributed
to a new book called "The Savvy Designer's Guide to Success:
Ideas and tactics for a killer career", written by American
author Jeff Fisher. The chapter that covers communicating with clients
contains a page where Gordijk provides several pieces of advice
on how to keep in touch throughout the life of a project, including:
"Communicating is essential. I email weekly progress reports
to the client, describing what I have achieved in the past week
and what remains to be completed."
Jeff Fisher is a successful design consultant based in Portland,
Oregon. He contributes regularly to international design magazines
and online forums. "The Savvy Designer's Guide to Success"
was published in North America by How Design Books in December 2004.
