I have met and talked with many hundreds of Wilmot residents in this election campaign. I've learned a lot about the issues and concerns that matter to you.

I have been encouraged to learn that some of the things that are most important to you are the very reasons I got into this race for mayor in the first place. For example, you have told me that:

  • You love your home communities, and don't want to see them changed by a tidal wave of Region-approved development.
  • You believe that Wilmot needs strong, effective leadership at the local and regional level.
  • You want local leaders who will listen to you, and who will take your concerns seriously.
  • You do not want more tax hikes.

What People Are Saying About Paul Knowles

"The mayor of Wilmot sits on Waterloo Regional Council. I believe Paul is more than capable of representing Wilmot's best interests with regards to water and the many other issues that are dealt with at the Regional level." - Richard Cressman

"Paul knows how to turn good intentions into action. I've worked with Paul on a number of projects, including the New Hamburg Flood Relief. His commitment as a dedicated volunteer has made our community a better place to live." - Paul Ditner

"I'm voting for Paul because I'm aware of the pressures that come to bear on a Township of our size. Our actions today will determine whether we secure our place as a distinct and unique district, or whether we are absorbed by the featureless sprawl of urban growth. Interesting times lay ahead. We need a leader. We need Paul Knowles." - Kristen Hahn
