Dear Friends:

I am honoured by the large number of people who have indicated a willingness to support my campaign for Mayor in Wilmot Township, and who have offered to help in whatever way you can. These warm and positive expressions of support are a huge encouragement to me, and I thank you very much.

As spring arrives, it is time to think about a new stage of the election campaign. To date, it has been very informal, with announcements by several candidates, and plenty of one to one conversations. Now, we will move ahead on new fronts.

  • Coffee and conversation meetings: I will be going door to door throughout the township in the coming months, but I would also very much like to attend coffee and conversation sessions in homes throughout Wilmot. These will allow people to meet and talk with me, and just as importantly, allow me to listen to the concerns of the voters of our community.
If you would be willing to host a coffee and conversation event, informally hosting friends, neighbours and family for about an hour, any morning, afternoon, or evening, please let me know. I think this will be a great way to connect with the folks in our communities.
  • Letters to the editor: The New Hamburg Independent's policy during the election is to carry no articles or letters written by any candidate. However, the paper will consider publishing letters to the editor from supporters of the candidate.
  • Most importantly, please mark October 25 on your calendar, and remember to vote.

Your support is crucial to this effort to bring leadership and vision to our township council. Thank you very much.
